ABILENE, Texas — The Big Idaho Potato Truck will be making a pit stop at the Abilene Convention Center on Wednesday, April 17th as a part of their national tour.
Accompanied by the “Tater Team,” the truck features a 4-ton spud mounted to a semi trailer.
The Idaho Potato Commission came up with the idea of replicating a giant Idaho potato to raise awareness about the importance of the potato industry and to support charities world wide. During its six month tour, the Truck will support various charities along the way as it rolls from coast to coast.
The Abilene event will begin at 10:00 AM at the convention center located at 1100 N 6th St.
Visitors will be able to see the world famous potato, take photos with the Tater team, and learn more about Idaho’s agriculture industry.
