Everyone has their own method but Jamie says that this recipe results in ‘the perfect roast potato’ that is ‘crispy outside and fluffy inside’.
Picking up ‘tiny, but important details’ throughout his cooking career the dad to eight-year-old River, Buddy, 14, Petal, 15, Daisy, 21 and Poppy, 22, starts his recipe by parboiling his spuds in salted boiling water for ten minutes.
Popping his potatoes into a colander, he then spoons on some oil followed by the unconventional addition of red wine vinegar.
After fluffing the prataí up, he put them in the oven and reveals his second unique tip, taking them out ten minutes earlier and smashing with a potato masher slightly to ‘let the lovely starchy inside, just puff out’.

Showcasing the mouthwatering final product, he joked: ‘Ah, crispy and fluffy. Yeah baby, just give me a little bit of peace, can I just have a little moment on my own? Go on, off you go.’
