KFC is now selling Mashed Potato Poppers for a limited time. Does it sound like something you’d want to try?
Fast food chains are trying hard to get our attention these days. They’re coming out with value menus, combos, and unique offerings for their customers. These Mashed Potato Poppers from KFC seem to be getting a lot of attention! You can get them on their own with a side of gravy (their gravy is so good) or in a new ‘Dunk It Bucket’ which includes their tenders, fries, and the Mashed Potato Poppers. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything like this on a fast food menu before!
KFC Selling Mashed Potato Poppers
According to Food & Wine, these Mashed Potato Poppers are described as crunchy on the outside with a creamy filling of classic KFC potatoes. They truly are unique and one-of-a-kind. They’re on menus now but won’t be around forever! They’re reportedly only around while supplies last. It sounds like the poppers were inspired by KFC stores in Australia.
A KFC spokesperson tells Food & Wine, “We were inspired by a popular KFC menu item in Australia called Mashies, but our new Mashed Potato Poppers are a refined, modern take on our iconic mashed potatoes and seamlessly complement gravy or any dipping sauce on the menu.” Personally, I think they look fantastic and I simply cannot see them being bad or disappointing. Mashies are really popular in the land Down Under and I hope they stick around here.
Interested in trying them? You can get a Dunk It Bucket for $7 and it’s the chain’s first new bucket in 10 years! This is a big deal! Read more from Food & Wine here.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
