LIMA, OH (WLIO) – If you are looking for some potatoes for your holiday celebrations, Lima Senior Ag students have a bunch they are giving away for free.
Lima Senior staff and students retrieved a trailer full of spuds, and now they are giving them away for free to anyone who wants them until their supply runs out.
Bubba’s Towing in Fremont, Ohio, called the Lima Senior agriculture program about an incident that they were covering, which had a bunch of potatoes that kind of got dumped in their lap. Lima Senior staff and students retrieved a trailer full of spuds, and now they are giving them away for free to anyone who wants them until their supply runs out.
“This feels good for us because they have helped us out so much of being so supportive of Lima Senior and the new Ag shop, coming to the open house. And we just want to give back to the community, so they can have potatoes to eat, because Christmas is coming up and people don’t really want to go out to the stores and buy potatoes,” says Dakota Dobbins, 10th Grade, Lima Sr. Ag program and FFA.

If you would like to pick up some potatoes, you can go to the Lima Senior’s new Ag building at 700 East Edwards Street from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024.
