York County coroner: Man dies after fall from Utz potato chip factory roof
The York County coroner was called to the Utz potato chip factory after a man fell off the roof.
A man was killed in a fall from the Utz potato chip factory roof in York County Friday morning.According to the coroner’s office, the man fell 30 to 34 feet at the factory on High Street in Hanover.The 34-year-old victim was reportedly a subcontractor who was part of a crew that was setting up scaffolding to do roof work.For an unknown reason, the man fell through a skylight and onto the loading dock below.The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.His name hasn’t been released yet.An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at 8 a.m.Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating.See news happening?
