“We sponsor a lot of events throughout the Farm Show Complex. We have 194 4-H kids here doing potato judging; they are cooking potatoes all day on the PA Preferred Culinary Connection Stage,” said Nathan Tallman with Pennsylvania Co-Operative Potato Growers.
Tallman says the Potato Growers got their start at the first few Farm Show’s, selling baked potatoes out on Cameron Street! He said they sold them to the people waiting in traffic for 5 cents, and they’ve only grown from there.
New to the menu this year are loaded French fries! Made with freshly cut potatoes, cheese, bacon, and a fancy drizzle of ranch! You can also find the classic buttered potato, sweet potato, and pierogis!
